Yamaha TDR 125 2000 - Derestricting

Messagede TDRider le 27 Mai 2012 19:39

Hi all!

First of all, apologize on using English instead of French, but i don't know a word of French, and I have the problem with my TDR, and I tried everywhere and no one helped me. So you are my last chance.

So, I have Yamaha TDR 125, 2000 year, which is bought in Germany. Type is 5AN, and cylinder code is 4FU00, and it's fully stock, so I want to derestrict it.

I know for the power valve restriction, but what's about the exhaust, and are there any other restriction.

I found this picture, on your forum which show where to cut:
http://yam2stroke.free.fr/preparation/m ... ente_1.jpg

Is that proper place to cut on my bike, and are there any other restrictions on my bike!

Thanks a lot!

Fell free to answer on French if you aren't very good in English, and I will use Google translate.

Yes, this is the place where you must cut the exhaust pipe.
Here are photos of the restriction:

Thanks on the fast answer.

Are there any other restrictions except this, and Power Valve.

I heard that TDR also have the catalyzer, and what about silencer, and inlet manifold, are there any other restrictions?

Also when all restrictions are removed, how much power does it will have?

I heard it's about 28 hp.

Cylinder is 4fu00.

Hello
On a TDR there is no electric clamp. Everything is done to the exhaust valve and muffler. Your link is for the DTR, not for TDR!
After you have to adjust the carburetor.
Good luck!

An engine of 2000 is a 5ae. Entries 4FU were not changed to manufacturing.
For power, I think it is better to expect 25hp max.

To adjust the valve

Hmm, but if the cylinder is the same as the TZR, 4FU00, but 25 hp, also isn't bad, especialy because, tdr have lot's of power in midrange rpm. But.....

Also should i take care of my exaust muffler, are there any restrictions?

Merci!

 TZR's are far from developing 30 horsepower, except in dreams ... on the internet.

 In your model, the restrictions are:
Exhaust pipe
Powervalve
Cdi (switch in the tachometer)

 The original CDI has an output of 5 volts, this one goes to the counter by the white / green, and there is a reed switch in the tachometer.
When you start the engine of the bike, the counter restarts from the +5 volts to the motor valve through the green / black.
However this system is not on all versions, it served the same flange on German models by preventing the current flow to the engine valve from 80 km / h ....

If you have this white / green wire coming to the speedometer: you can cut it, or put a switch.

OK! I will try to see is there that wire in friday, I can't earlier because of work.

Maybe I have that restriction, because my bike do only about 100-110 km/h.

Can you tell me should I cut silencer, are there any restrictions?

Any restriction in the silencer... The only restriction (for the exhaust pipe) is the "body of the muffler", like the pictures I posted last night.
