In your model, the restrictions can be at:
Exhaust pipe
Powervalve
Cdi (switch in the tachometer)

In the german model's the original CDI has an output of 5 volts, this one goes to the counter by the white / green, and there is a reed switch in the tachometer.
When you start the engine of the bike, the counter restarts from the +5 volts to the motor valve through the green / black.

If you have this white / green wire coming to the speedometer: you can cut it, or put a switch.[/quote]
